i guess it is because classic music is relaxing, and naturally it will also relax the brain from the all the stresses of living.

classical music isn't just for children. it's actually beneficial for everyone. they did a study once (some time ago.. long long ago)... the researchers went aboard a ship and sailed to the middle of the ocean. there they fixed many speakers around the ship and under (in the water). Next, the got a band to start playing soft classical music. After awhile, many dolphins started to draw near and (something to do with their wave pattern signals they were emitting.. was supposedly positive). However, when the researchers asked to change the genre into rock music, the wave patterns started to be disrupted and the dolphins started to swim away. so hence, they concluded that soft classical music is good to stimulate the brain cells. there's another "test" they did (some time ago.. like the above.. long ago). they filled 2 classes full of students of the same average scores. one class were required to study under classical music. the other had some other genre music. at the end of (i think) 1 hour, the both classes sat for a test. And GUESS what? Lo and behold, the class under the classical music did far better than the other class.

is that something you read somewher.. or are you making a statement? or are you asking whether it is? i have never heard that music helps the growth of children... maybe classical music hepls to keep tensions out of us and make us think coolly... but im sure a kid who is fed with heavy metal grows the same way as the one with classical music.. thank you happy new year
