One tip to increase your typing speed is NOT TO LOOK AT THE KEYBOARD WHILE TYPING. Sit comfortably, just rest your fingers on the home keys (I mean asdf & ;lkj) and try to locate the keys without looking at the keyboard. This may be difficult initially but you'll see a great improvement quickly. Happy new year.

buy yourself a typing guide teacher. you can easily find these materials at the bookstore. just ask the person in attendance as to where they keep these types of books on learning things on our own. for you it will be the typing book guide. you will have to practice all the exercises that they have there. just push yourself into it. slowly, your typing speed will increase. then, your familiarity with the keys at the keyboard will be so enhanced that you will not take a peek at the keyboard anymore except for the numbers. you can never allow yourself to commit a single error at all when it comes to numbers. good luck about learning how to type. good speed for the incoming year.

There is a lot of free software available on the net that can be downloaded on the computer to practice typing. I think if you get one of those you will be able to practice your typing and increase your speed.

My typing speed before s u c ks but what I have done was to download a program on the Internet (I think it is calling “speed typing test software”) then install it on my machine then it allows me to practice my typing abilities… It will give you several paragraphs with limited time to type it… I can say that it really helps me a lot to be a fast typer… I guess, you can try that as well… I believe there are free software for that on the Internet. Hi friend, You can improve your typing speed by just practicing it everyday. Just do mylotting everyday and i am sure that your typing speed will improve just like mine. I am also like you when i was new in this site, but since i am active here everyday, my typing speed increase. I hope yours will improve soon. Happy new year.
