Is it true that you grow when you sleep and shrink when you are awake?

I read somewhere that you grow when you sleep and shink when you are awake. Is it true? I don't sleep much, and I don't think I want to shrink!

hahah! It's not exactly true...actually, it would be more suitable if you didn't use the word 'shrink'. Shrink sounds like you're really getting shorter!! but it isn't that serious. We're usually taller in the morning and a little bit shorter later in the day. The difference isn't much, and I'm sure that the difference is lesser than 1 centimetre! SO DON'T WORRY. You won't get shorter, for now. (one tends to shrink when they're in their 70s or 80s, and this means getting shorter)

I have never heard something like this, and I seriously doubt it can be true..
if it's true, I think it's something concerned to children and not to adults, that stop growing up..
anyway it's very strange and curious.. I think that if it was true, the results would be evident

I highly doubt that this is true, it sounds like a crazy wives tale to me.
