If I Could, A Poem

If I could
Do you think I should
Remove past sorrows and pain
Would you
I wonder, could you
Possibly be the same
What has been
And what will be
As well as what we are currently
Combined will make yet a better me
If only you dared
If only to share
whom you truly are
That I could see
The reality
of together where we are
The past is forever gone
Release the pain and sorrow
Lessons turned
Blessings learned
From the past
Grant new tomorrows.
So, If I could
I don’t think I should
Remove past sorrows and pain
For I have become
And I for one
Know the blessings of yesterday
And hopes for tomorrow.

Hope keeps us going doesn't it? We learn lessons from the pain and luckily pain and sorrow fades (if we let it). Many people like to remember pain and they hang on to it, nurse it, and feel revengeful. Yes, the past is forever gone and we should all let it go, dig a hole and bury it.
Thanks for your wonderful poem and have a Happy New Year.

Thank you. We should hold on to the lessons we learned and let go of the pain. It holds us back and can in fact make us sick.
Happy New Year to you.
