How did you welcome 2009?

It's raining when we welcome the year 2009,we just celebrate it simple.My wife prepared food for the family and we pray around 12Midnight for giving us blessing for the past year and seeking help from Almighty to guide us for this New Year.

i celebrated it with my family. we heard the year end mass, watch the fireworks and had our meal. i wasnt able to be with my boyfriend, so we talk on the phone instead.

Happy New Year Manueru22. Well I am from the Philippines like you. I welcomed 2009 by simply being with my family and did cook some sumptuous meal for us to eat. We also had fireworks and we also watch our neighbors as they have some great fireworks (you know they have money to spend for those hi-class fireworks). Before eating, my sister leads the prayer to thank God for the year that passed and to thank Him that we are still together and still in good shape this 2009. All the blessings for you. Hi! I celebrated my new year with my family we don't have fireworks or firecrakcers. we just used our torotot and watch our neighbor's fireworks. but we are happy because we are together on this special occasion happy new year!
