My twin sons are identical. They were born at five minutes apart.
Although they are identical, they try to maintain their own identities. My son Mark wears his hair shoulder-length (I have been trying to convince him to at least get it styled). My son Michael wears his hear short, about a half-inch in length. He likes a more well-groomed appearance.

Having twins was quite interesting. When we went out shopping it always took a long time because people would stop and comment on the boys.

My great-grandmother lost a set of twins, my grandmother lost a set of twins, and so did my mother. I was nervous for the first trimester. Once over that hurdle came the worry of premature labor. I did go into labor early and needed complete bed rest and eventually hospitalization.

There are no twins in my family as far back as I know, on either side. I have always thought that twins were so "cool". Especially identical twins. I can only imagine how difficult it is for the parents, and I know that twins sometimes have troubles establishing their own identities, but I think with good parenting they are able to grow up and realize how special they are for being twins and also as individual people. It sounds as if your boys are as different as night and day now!
