Hi Guys! I am planning to spend my New Year Holidays cuddled up on teh couch and watching some great movies I have just received from netflix! I plan to watch ' Last King of CSotland' , 'Hotel Rwanda', 'Memento' and some more..
And as I was choosing these , I was wondering which is my all time favorite movies which I would not mind watching for the Nth time...And it came down to ' Forrest Gump' :o) Simply mentioning the name of the movie brings a smile to my face. I have seen it for approx 15 times already and would like to begin my new year watching it...
Why I like it is very difficult to capture in words...:) Movie is so beautiful..it lives the spirit of life itself and all that makes it worth living....love, simplicity, innocence, honesty, courage & friendship !!
Oh Yes! I will also have my New Year Eve's Dinner at Bubba Gump Shrimp! Wow what a wonderful idea! I am sure headed to a Great Start in 2009! How about you?
What are your plans? Which is your all time fav Movie? Will you be watching it again on New Year's Eve ? :)

My favorite movie is Rocky. I've seen it over a thousand times and it never gets old. I've seen every movie in the series and it's like watching it for the first time every time I watch it. They're just such inspirational films and they make you want to get up and do something with your life.

I think I have to many favorites to mention, so I will pick just a few:
1. Blade Runner - old but great and probably really my all time favorite.
2. Million Dollar Baby - great acting and directing, tearjerker, I love this one
3. Dreamgirls - the music, to die for
4. Heartbreak Ridge - funny and odd, but great one
5. Color Purple - I have watched this over and over
6. Unforgiven - I know loading up on Eastwood, but love him and this is great
7. Pretty Woman - pure unadulterated fluff
8. Boyz 'N the Hood - so well done, great acting, great story though sad
9. Godfather I - what a great movie, hated the other ones
10. Lady Sings The Blues - perfection of all the actors in this film
11. Malcom X - this was so well done and timeless
12. New Jack City - despite the violence a great crime story
13. Lean on Me - Morgan Freeman at his very best
14. Rent - loved it on stage, loved the movie, love the music
Those are probably my all time favorites. There are others I like, but off the top of my head this is it.

I like the movie too and enjoyed watching it. I have seen it about 3 times...was very sad when Jack drowns while talking softly and being there with Rose in the centre of Disaster. I love the way the whole plot unwraps and reveals itself...its simply beautiful.. :)
I remember having given my hubby ( then my BF) a large Hug when teh drowning scene happened...:) Sorry..I am quite an emotional person sometimes..
Thanks for sharing & Wish You a Very Happy New Year!

Well, I got a lot of favorite movies, so I guess I'll list them all if you don't mind, hopefully you won't, aha. Well here they are:
1. Rush hour 1-3 - They are really great movie most hilarious movie I have ever seen most likely.
2. Epic movie - Funny movie but not as funny as the rush hour movies, but it's a really good movie.
3. Tokyo Drift - Great movie, lots of car action, really good movie, that's all I have to say.
4. Ironman - Great movie, lots of action, I'd like to make an iron armor like that, it looks really cool.
5. Spider-man 3 - Awesome movie, lots of action not much to say about it, let's just say it was a really good one.
6. The Hulk - Lots of action in this movie, but to think that there would be a second hulk? That's new, aha.
Well, that's all, oh and also these aren't in order, I just put them in a random order like how I usually do it.

For me Titanic. Even though the story is more to love rather than historical documentary. But I just love the movie. The plot, graphic, theme songs, the balance between history and love are just right for me. I think every time if I watched it, I never get bored. I completely hypnotized and it moves me into the Titanic world and of course prepare a box of tissue in case my tears are flowing like a river.
And greets for you too: Happy New Year!

It's hard for me to pick a favorite. I own probably around 500 movies in my own personal movie collection. I just love movies. One of my favorites is French Kiss. Yeah, I know. I could pick a better favorite, but I would think of a favorite movie as something that I can come back to again and again and still enjoy. French Kiss fits that description for me. Meg Ryan and Kevin Kline are great in this movie, especially Kevin Kline. It's funny and romantic. I like a GOOD romantic comedy, which are becoming harder and harder to find these days.

My all-time favorite movie is "The English Patient". I don't know why. I watched it then in a theater, alone. It really sucks to watch a semi-love-story-slash-semi-world-war film by yourself. What the heck, the plot is simple and basic: a war survivor tells his love story to his nurse. Dude, I would recommend that movie to you. Are you an Indian national? I asked because there is an Indian character in that movie. The nurse in the story had a love affair with the Indian soldier.
Happy new year, dude! Happy mylotting and happy watching your movies!

I know it's a old and probably not too popular movie but I do like "A Walk in the Clouds" staring Keannu Reeves ... I watched it when I was a teenager and I felt all mushy inside, haha

Never was a big fan of Forrest Gump *shrug* Just not my cup of tea. I haven't seen Last King of Scotland or Hotel Rwanda but Memento is amazing. Pay very close attention, though or you will be very confused because of the way it kind of goes backwards through the story.
I simply cannot choose one favorite movie. The ones that always stand out in my mind are What Dreams May Come, the Nightmare Before Christmas, Good Will Hunting and the Breakfast Club. But there are soooooooooooooooooooo many more that I love, it's so hard to choose.
