Where do you watch movies?

What is the place of enjoying the movies for you? Mine is home. I watch them on my Cable TV and on my computer through DVDs. I feel its very costly watching them in multiplexes and here in my city we hardly get tickets from counters. People would like to black the tickets here on high rates. So, my best place is to be at home and enjoy!

Hi Sanuanu, I also enjoy watching movies at home, either through TV or Dvds. It's cheaper and definitely more comfortable; no crowds, queues or irritating audience.

Hi Lazeebee, nice to have you here on my discussion. Its definetely cheaper and less time consuming. We can enjoy the movie while we can be at home. We can invite as many people we like to share that movie with too, isn't it?

I love to go to the movies! It is like a little adventure to a place of wonders. It really puts you into the movie and satisfies the desire to know what the movie is about. I usually take a companion along, and we usually talk about the film for HOURS after it. I find myself really only doing that when I go to a movie theatre, and it sells me at that point.

Hmm, its nice to talk about the movie for hours with your friends. It give us immense satisfaction. Was the movie good, or was the actress crying in a little acward manner, this movie had some exceptional actions. These things I also enjoy talking.

Indeed it always saves money as well as time. We can get away from the nasty crowd every time. I think people who go to watch movies at multiplexes must have immense passion for watching it in movie theaters!

I won't say that it makes my family a little more stronger but yes, we do enjoy it at home with our family mates.

My preference for watching movies at home comes from the audiences' behavior -- a lot of the time you can't hear the film because people are talking so much. I also think the prices are outrageous!

That too is very annoying. Sometime it will also happen that people in front of you or by side or behind you, would talk about what is going to happen next. It has happened to me once and I was quite angry on that person. He just couldn't resist him telling his friend that what would happen next! Disgusting.

Movie tickets in our area are getting more and more expensive these days so i just watch movies at home on my computer. I just download movies available online then watch them. It may take long but it's worth it because the quality is good and sometimes the movies available are the ones that's just been released few days ago.

Its getting expensive and I think its far too expensive for me to bare it. I never watched movie by downloading them. I mean I have cable tv at home and it usually shows the movie released in recent time.

Expensive, yea they are expensive and since movies are now available on DVDs, why spend on theaters. Its worth watching them on small screen and there are same stuffs in almost all the movies, except for some of them.

I live and work in a small city in China and now Movies are shown in the open air at public places, like, squares in the evening at weekends.People watch the movies for free. Only the newest movies ane shown in cinemas or theatres and the tickets are usually very expensive. The audience are usually young lovers. For people of my age watch movies at home through DVDs sometimes I download some available on line.

That's a great thing. To watch a movie on a big screen in public. Wow, I have watched one movie in a public place in the night and believe me the experience was awesome. I don't like the downloading things. It takes days to download a movie for me.

Most of the time I watch movies from TV. I will even watch movies from cellphone. Occasionally we will watch movies in the cinema. But the movie tickets are expensive, so we seldom go to the cinema. I love China

Hi youless, So, how is the experience of watching movies on cell phones? I think I didn't enjoy it watching from cellphone because I can't understand even a single scene. The scren is so small that I can hardly understand what is happening.

I can remember my childhood times when I used to enjoy the movie in only theaters. It felt so awesome but I think that went away as the time passed by. Now, even if I get an offer from someone to go and watch a movie, I don't go there as I don't feel comfortable at theaters

I watch most of the movies at home either using pirated discs or through a cable TV. The theaters charges are around Rs 70 in our city but still I can't spend that money every week. The theaters should cut the prices of tickets especially multiplexes.

I have to buy Two tickets one for me and other for my wife plus the interval expenses can reach it to Rs 200-250. 200*4 weeks = 800 is not less money.

Whew! Rs 70 is a big amount. Here in my town there is a multiplex which charges Rs 100 but all others have tickets at Rs 20-30 only, which is still high compared to the living stauts here!

I mostly watch movies in the theatres. I think this is a good way to watch them without any distubance. Apart from theatre, I do enjoy my movies in the home on the television set. This is a cheap medium to watsh on the movie. Also, I do get the DVD from the library and do enjoy the new movie.

It is a cheap medium and if we can see the same stories, same actors, same action scenes at a cheap rate at home then why should we go theatre!

I didn't see LOTR's. Any of the three parts. For me, I am from India and I love watching hollwood movies for they have some extraordinary story and action sequences. So, for the first time, I just see those action and then for the second time I go for the story. Don't laugh at me. I feel embarrassed.

Yes, the cost of DVD is most of the time is cheaper than cost of movie ticket so, it is better to leave the love towards big screen and be happy with the small one at home!
