2009 - Year of the Panda! It will be what we make of it so who's with me?

According to Chinese Astrology, it's the Year of the Ox; but I beg to differ! It may in parallel be the year that mark's the historical inauguration of a new US President as well, but this also is secondary in my opinion. This is the YEAR OF THE PANDA my friends and what a year it is going to be! Forget the projected doom and gloom, forget the tales of economic woe that are coming and the talk of hardship's...... This year, the Year of the Panda will be all we choose for it to be and more! We shall dance like a dervish, laugh like we mean it, seek joy in all we see and do. We shall shape our 2009 destinies with fun and frivolity in our hearts and positivity and optimism in our souls. Who is with me? Will you join me in acknowledging that this is indeed the beginning of the Year of the Panda? Let us spank like we have never spanked before and harness the full power of the Law of Attraction by being all we can be and more! Happy New Year everybody; and welcome to the Year of the Panda!

I am, as I speak, cleaning and conditiong all my leather implements and checking the handles for wear and tear as I prepare to rip into 2009. I am expanding my panda enclosure (and planting three new species of delicious bamboo) in the fond hope that I will be able to attract a little female panda to join our happy poly family and produce lots of little panda kiddies with who we can have fun for decades to come. Happy New Panda Year. Lash

Oooooooh yeah, now you're talkin' Lash! It is as much to do with our ACTIONS and not just our mindsets and words..... I never realized there was a 3rd tyoe of bamboo either, so I am very imoressed with your research! Good luck with sourcing the female panda as a row of baby panda's all lined up and ready to be spanked evokes indescribable feelings of joy from my end I must say! Good message shared about the importance of implement upkeep there too mate. Happy New Panda Year to you and yours as well and I am looking forward to one heck of a 2009!

Oh is that what that enclosure is for. I thought it was for the chickens. Ok so we are getting more spanking pandas and we are going to have kiddie pandas ooooh that sounds like fun. So my female panda is going to play with your males and have families. Hmmm.

Ah, so you have the female panda already sharra? Sweet! The enclosure is far better used for panda families than chickens for sure. You can only eat so many eggs, yes? And panda spanking never gets old. It's a no brainer if you ask me!

Glad to hear it mimpi! 2008 has been a challenge for many of us and the only way is up from here. As far as I am concerned, it will be 365 days of panda spanking, screaming therapy and optimistic advancements all in one! Today is the first day of the rest of our lives and this is how we must always look at each and every day. Happy New Year to you and yours also and may 2009 be the start of excellence in all you do!

Hi there James. Happy New Year. I looked at the first page of my calendar and saw that it is the Year of the Ox. I think that the Year of the Panda does sound more Chinese I must admit. My 19 month old son was given a toy panda for Christmas and everything he sees him he cries and throws him on the floor. My two dogs rather like him but alas he is not a doggy toy. Welcome to the Year of the Panda.

It is the Year of the Ox according to the Chinese, yes. But I do think they may have been a bit too traditionalist this time around and it really IS the panda's turn in the limelight! Your son's attitude to the toy panda is easily fixed maximax, get him a real one! lol. Happy New Year and Happy Year of the Panda to you and your family. May it be all you wish for and more! Lash, I find that wrapping the panda's paws in duct tape and THEN letting them play with the dog is a very effective method. One swipe will still send the dog flying across a paddock, but no scratches! It may do your dog some good too seeing as it once tried to kill ya!

Are you sure that you can get a real panda? hahaha, it is just a joke! In the world, the number of the pandas is just pretty small. If you guys see them in a zoo, it will be a minor good chance for you

Well, I don't know about it not being a doggy toy (see attached - not a panda, but I didn't enter my panda period till much later). I wouldn't let my dog play with the real pandas, of course, I'm rather fond of him and would hate to see him torn into little bits. Lash

It may come as a shock to you, but I was born in Hong Kong hiddenwing! I left there just before I turned 5 and I have always had an affinity with Asia. The Panda is definitely happy and the Ox is not! lol. But it had to be done I'm afraid. Happy New Year and Happy Year of the Panda to you as well!

I quite agree with you James. I think this will be the year of the spanked panda. Not just any old panda wandering around in the wilderness. This is the year of the pandas who want to be spanked. Apparently we are getting a new panda enclosure. All the time I thought it was for my chickens to play in. Oh well I will have to find them somewhere else so I can keep them out of my garden and still let them roam happily. I can see the leather implements as I type this. They are all nicely conditioned and ready to go as we spank our pandas in to the new year.

You have hit the nail right on the head here sharra. Any old panda just doesn't fit the theme of what 2009 is gonna be for us at all and only willing spankees will do! As I said above, chickens are really quite limited in uses, so a panda enclosure will be a far more productive use of space. I like the roaming aspect too by the way. "Free Range" pandas are so much more spankable in my opinion. Keep those leathers nice and pliable and spank away like it's 1999 sharra!

So we are modifying Chinese astrology now is it ? I'm with you all the way my friend. After all the world has seen in the year 2008, we need to chill out more than ever. Spank, Spank and Spank. I think we need to do something about increasing Panda population .The last thing we need in 2009 is panda spankers figting over pandas. Happy new year to you as well James.

Why the heck not I say Alok! The world embraced the Chinese concept of animal horoscopes with 12 year cycles, so adding one more animal to the mix isn;t too much of a stretch you would think! Yes, we do need to be conscientious about panda numbers too, because infighting will defeat the whole purpose! Lash and sharra are preparing an enclosure, so maybe we should all look to do something similar? Happy Year of the Panda and may you always have a spanking good time of it!

Happy New Year and Happy Year of the Panda to you too and welcome aboard. Seeing as you started spanking at such a young age, you will fare well I am sure!

Ooohhhhh Yeeeeessssss!!! I'm well up for the dancing like a dervish and the laughing! Bring on the frivolity.... go panda!!! I've had my 2 Christmases (neither of them on 25th as you know) and am now the proud owner of a sticky plastic octopus which slithers down windows; a finger puppet theatre; a singing/dancing dog; a fuzzy felt set, a Woogie (I'd never heard of them either...but I got one) and a singing 'Wee Willie Winkie'.... so, I'm happy

Gee Wizzywig, you made out like a pirate in the gift department! Talk about gifts that keep on giving! lol. Dervish dancing, fun and frivolity is just the tip of the iceberg for 2009 so strap yourself in tight. The volume on the insanity knob has been cranked to almost full power and the inanity will be flowing like the Nile! Happy Year of the Panda and let the games begin!

To fully embrace the panda spanking attitude for Year of the Panda you're gonna have to do a lot more than that Wizzywig! So add all of those task to the list and keep on adding! Oancakes through the mail makes too much sense anyway as they fit through the mail slot perfectly. Make 'em all whoopee cushions PAINTED to look like pancakes and now we're talkin'! And if you're gonna label urinal bottles, you should write "This side up" on the foreheads of every patient that comes in as well. Why the heck not!
@Wizzywig (7847)
3 Jan 09
A pirate ????? Have you been looking at my Captain Hook photo??? - thats not my hair...its wool - but they are my stripey socks with skull & crossbones up the side. So, I assume the 'panda year' allows me to continue drawing faces on the urinal bottles at work, putting the pink & purple streaks in my hair, standing on one leg saying 'I-i-i-i'm a flamingo!', sending pancakes through the post for Shrove Tuesday & playing with all the exciting gifts I had for Christmas(es)?? Can I keep the 2 foot orange stripey spider hanging off the picture in my hallway and the green fuzzy monkey dangling from my bedpost?

That's the spirit LittleMel! I refuse to subscribe to all this doom and gloom predicted for this year anyway and am a firm believer that we can collectively reverse all of these predictions with the right attitude and approach in our life. Downturn, schmownturn I reckon! lol. The more we get on with life and not get caught up in all this negative analytical crap, the better the chance we have of collectively making a difference. Sounds airy fairy I know, but I do believe this. Happy Year of the Panda to you!

Hello James - Count me in. I will acknowledge that this is the year of the Panda. The expectations are high, as we need to write more poems for this critter as a reward for the continuing service he has provided us as well as for the entertainment we always get from the fights he does in the arena with our volunteer challengers.

Yes indeed it is the Year of the Panda and the order of the day is fun and frivolity, a pinch of inanity and a healthy dash of insanity to even out the mix. A panda has commenced his ambling walk in your general direction and should reach you shortly I would think. He is a big fat one too and has a massive butt, so get your spankin' hand ready.
