I saw this movie yesterday and I can't tell you how fantastic I think it was. Yes, I could be slightly biased because I love to look at Brad Pitt ;-) but I have to say that I cried at least three times throughout the movie and I don't even really like movies. I prefer to read books so for me to say that I would see this movie again in a heartbeat says a lot. I have to admit that I was a little confused on some points, but that could be attributed to the fact that sometimes I'm alittle slow :~? . I didn't understand that story told about the clock constructed to tick backwards and how that was related to the character benjamin button. I understand why the clock was made that way but I don't know if I'm missing some important symbolism. Anybody know? What does eveyone else think of the movie? Oh and for those who haven't seen it yet, yes they show him as a baby with the face of an old man and yes it was kind of disturbing, but in an interesting way. Give me your opinions!

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button is an excellent movie, butterflytears, and I, for one, think it deserves to win an Oscar! I am also a huge fan of Brad Pitt and his portrayal of the title character in this movie was superb. From my understanding about the clock ticking backwards I believe that the dedication of the clock set into motion the circumstances that allowed Benjamin to be born as an old man and live his life in reverse. I must confess that I was so moved by this movie that I wept through probably the last fourth of it.

the first time i saw the trailer for this movie, i knew something was special about it.. i couldn't really give just one good reason why one should watch it, simply because there are a lot of reasons why its worth spending time and money on it. The movie was almost 3 hours, but i didn't even notice it.. the plot alone is enough to get you curious, but how well they developed it was one amazing feat. You almost knew what's gonna happen next but still it gives you surprises along the way. the music throughout the movie was just so perfect, it gives the movie a lot more endearing. this movie tackles so many things about life, but most specially, love. how painfully sweet the love story between the two main characters here, you couldn't help but be as hopeful as they are, or as fearful as they are to face the future, how you can relate to the mis-steps they had, or how intense their passion for each other was. Both Cate Blanchett and Brad Pitt did so well in this movie, they were just so lovely, the chemistry was just so perfect. i think the clock that was made to tick backwards was used to somehow set the tone of the movie.. benjamin was born the night that the Great War ended, the war that took the life of the son of the man who built the clock.. whom he wished to have come back alive from the war.. he wanted to turn back time. i am definitely recommending this movie, its something that shouldn't be missed.

I haven't sen it yet but I intend to go to see it ASAP and that says a lot because I rarely go to the movies, usually opting to watch them when they come out on DVD or even on HBO. It's a bit of a stretch to be sure but a lot of movies have been far-fetched, right? I'm glad there was some explanation as to how he started out old and got younger, even if you said it was confusing! Thanks for the recommendation, not I'm sure I must go see it. Annie

I've seen the previews for this and really had no desire to see it. But now I might think about renting it when it comes out on video. I never see movies in theaters anymore, it's too expensive and rarely worth the aggravation, but we're usually first in line to rent a movie when it's out on video. Think I'll go place a hold on it on Blockbuster.com. Thanks for the review.
