You hear people calling each other old. What age do you consider old? Do you consider yourself old?

My father is now over 60+ but he doesn't consider him old as yet. He says that we are young if we are young by our heart. Sometimes I think that I am an old person now being 27. He is just so awesome!

I don't really know what to consider "old" I feel like I'm getting older and it makes me sad! I miss being younger and not worrying about so many things, just school and school! Now I have to worry about school, work, family, boyfriend, etc!

i am 34 years old. according to my little 13 year old sister..i am ancient lol! our father and grandmother must therefore be down right prehistoric! like others here have said..when i was younger...the ripe age of 30 seemed old. now that ive passed that mile marker it doesnt feel old. however there are days when i do feel older! but thats just the temporary aches and pains that come with time i guess. my grandmother is 84 this year and she is fit and spry and works in the garden every day..so i cant really call that old. my other grandmother is about 77 i think..and she sure seemed old when she was 70. huh..i guess it depends on the particular person. some older ppl just dont have that "old" feel to them, while some ppl that are quite a bit younger sure seem far older than they actually are. i havent nailed down an age though have i? lol! ok im going to say 65 is old and let it go at that!

Old is supposed to be when you claim the state pensions at sixty five in England .I don't hold with that as some of them are very active, when we go travelling in our caravan on the sites you meet people in their late seventies filling up their water barrels putting up awnings and tents themselve.sometime we give a hand or they help us with ours.Age and being old is a state of mind, some people get old at sixty others never seem to get old, even in wheelchairs their body might be giving out but they are still able to enjoy life and want to go out and about, and having fun, like I say we meet plenty on holiday touring of althings and that takes a lot of energy and strength, some of them require help and we give it freely but that does not make them old.

Hi smartie...I think old is a state of mind. Now if you ask my 21 year old daughter, she'll tell you I'm old at 46. LOL! (Even though I can fit into her size 1 jeans and out exercise her...LOL!) I saw on tv yesterday a woman talking about her mother who was 100 and how she rode an exercise bike everyday. Now ask her what age is old...I guess your only as old as you feel. hehe Rhonda
