One of the hottest job online scam is counterfeit cheque or money order scam, they pretend want to hire oversea account receivable agent or payment processing representative by claiming it is too costly to process USA M.O or cheque in their home country, so need a local to process them and wire the balance over to them after deducting the commission of 5% -10 %. Several days after you wire transfer the balance , their bank will claim your M.O is counterfeit, then you are stuck with a big bill from your bank. Form banking law perspective, your bank will honor the payer bank's reversal claimed even after they authenticated the M.O is genuine at the beginning of your deposit, it is a perfectly legal loophole banks manage to rip off many consumers.
