I find gtalk real fun!
Firstly, it isn't blocked in most offices like MSN so it allows me to talk to my peers who are in the office working.
It has a cleaner interface and does away with alot of emoticons as those in MSN.
It gets quite annoying (on MSN) when you have to decipher the message typed to you through all the emoticons here and there.
Do you use GTalk?

Ever since meeting up with My SO,I've pretty much given up on socialising by IM like I used to before, with the exception of friends and family..I do already have a gmail account,so may look into it as a possible alternative to MSN,as most of my circle also have gmail! Thanks for the review!

yup. i do agree that gtalk is the possible alternative to MSN. besides it has less emoticons and so less complicated.
