White Or Foggy XMASS and NEW Year

Hi Friends
Happy 2009 to all and Belated Merry Xmas
I know that People in Europe and USA like to have White Xmass ( when they have snow) and New year. and i heard they get Discount at stores if its White Xmass( not sure).
I was just wondering who had enjoyed White XMASS and New Year???
As far as i am concern, i dont have white Xmass or New Year, but sure we got Foggy Xmass and New Year. Since Dec 24, we are having very very dense Fog/mist and its really disatrub whole transportation net work.

No WHITE X-MAS for me Zass. Well It was FOGGY AND BLINDING NEW YEAR! As we were driving through the road, we couldn't see anything and trust me some accidents here and there happened due to thick fog!
My brother in US told me that they had freezing rain X-mas! That sounds different for people like us!

i am sure unless u r in india its very hard for u to have White XMass, but its nice that u too have FOGGY and BLINDING NEWYEAR, like i have.
and trust me driving in it is not only hard but scary too, as u have to be attentive all the time.
well i do trust u about accidents as we have many here as well, and unfortunately i witness many too.
yeah many cities of USA have worsr storms , but its life

Yes Zass. On New year;s Eve the city recorded a huge accident list. Even though it included drunken driving too but FOG played an important part aswell.

Hi cupie..Thanks for your good wishes,and I hope you are enjoying your foggy xmas and new year!!...Yes in the US they are having white xmas and New year and they get snow storms too occasionally which disrupts traffic and lowers attendance in offices too....But most establishments are having New year holidays now and they have all gone on vacation to near by cities.....And yes they do have discount sales too there at this time of the year...
After hearing reports of snow storms in the US and fogs in Delhi and Pakistan,I an sure glad I am enjoying a fine moderate climate here.....Its warm and sunny in the day time and a bit cool at night.....

and sure its nice to know that u r enjoying nice moderate weather and i am sure it must be really lovely to sit in balcony of ur apartment with lot of greenry down and enjoy fresh and moderate breeze, quite tempting, right
Well, last day i got message that it was -9C in London, ooopss, and sure storms and snow in USA, here in Pakistan, we have snow and minus temprature in Pakistan, but here we have bit cold in days about 14-15C and nights are cold, touching 0C.

Yes, you are right we have Foggy days here in Delhi, as well. The weather is foggy here for teh 3-4 days and it is dense fog here. In the morning, I face problems, while driving my vehicle to my office in the fog.

I had a beautifully white Christmas and New Years..... white sand! Bright shining stars, amazing temperatures. The tropics. A great place to end the year and start a new one.
Sorry about your Foggy Xmas and New Year. I'm such a good friend that I soaked up a few extra sun rays just for you.

Cupid, I am sorry, I never heard about the term 'White Christmas' and my GK is very low (lol). But fog is everywhere in Delhi and it is disturbing travelers, many accidents has occurred and trains got delayed etc. (you are right the whole transportation net work affected) I know you are too in the midst of the same problem. Let us hope it will be cleared out soon and the climate will be good by mid January (just guessing, lol).

u heard every word first time, and specially this terminilogy is used in Europe and USa mostly.
Fog, sure i am distrubed a lot, many flights have been re routed, trians are late by 7-8 hours and many others problem, it will also be effecting CROPS as well.
and sure accidents are also there and due to this they close motorway during dense fog

There is no question of a white Christmas here for us. This Christmas was not even cold. The weather here till 31st Dec was quite warm. It is just from New years eve that the weather has cooled down a bit. But not cold enough for us to be wearing our sweaters or shawls.
I have enjoyed my New Years eve at home and was working yesterday.

Well, i know in mumbai, its very rare that u need to wear sweaters and shawls, i think u might have fans on during Xmass
but do u honestly think Xmass is associated with cold and snow???

It was a foggy christmas and a foggy new year here in Delhi, India. I have never seen a white christmas so was planning to go somewhere where i can witness a white christmas but dude to some personal reasons i could not move out. It was very cold here and the fog will be thick till 10:30 A.M in the morning so everything is slow, traffic jams on new years eve was just a pain. So, on new years day i just stayed back home and had some drinks with some friends. Wishing you a very happy new year cupid.

well u r right, that in dehlui its hard to have White Xmass or New year, for that u have to go towards hilly area of India or to Europe. Wish u all the best and hope soon ur personal reasons would be resolved.
And sure we have foggy new year and xmass and traffic jams are accidents were not good start who suffered

It was not a white Christmas for us, it was very clear and with sunshine but cold still! You are right about the huge discount after Christmas....It was 75-80% off of different items and it was really crazy! LOL!

merry christmas n happy new year for all of u, my friend where ever u r n i hope ur dream come true in ur life. some asia n all country in usa n eroupe have white xmas n i think is wonderful xmas but for me is what is the meaning of xmas n new year ? not about the snow n sometimes snow make dc network.
