strange sign seen on Christmas ........can anyone explain what it really meant?

a strange thing happened to me this Christmas,on Christmas i and my seven other friends had decided to spent time together so we had planned 1st we would go for boating to an island nearby in the river mahanadi in my town then we would together go to church,i had taken my camera,we had clicked many photos but when i uploaded them in my computer the photo which we took while leaving the island at night was the strangest one, in the background it had a light and the light was in shape of a cross.it was very strange i asked father the next day he said it was blessing from god............can you guys explain what was it?????????

Hi, friend.
Honestly, I have never heard or experienced anything like that before. But if this shape of the cross which appeared as a background was real and not just any product of the lights or shadows behind you, I guess this is one of God's way to remind you and your friends of the real meaning of Christmas.
And maybe, He was looking down and smiling at you as if saying, "I love all of you!"
Admittedly, I am fond of supernatural sightings or unexplainable occurrences like what you've mentioned. Anyway friend, I do hope that you and your friends will never lose a great friendship. Further, I sincerely wish that your wonderful friendship will last a lifetime; even after each of you have gotten married already.
