Your pet peeve is mine, too, after lies. As much as I hate liars and will avoid them in any way I can, I'd like to put the inventor of those automated answerers tried for crimes against humanity. It took me most of 6 months to get to the bank on time to talk to anyone and get some vital information, because there's no way to call a human that they'll disclose. After a wait of almost 3 hours, resettimg something to correct the error took less than one minute! They'd frozen access to my account, and I'd even overdrawn because I couldn't check the balance and I forgot to write an expenditure, and I was furious. They said it was a computer glitch that decided I was trying to steal my own identity! Just a few minutes with a human on the phone could have solved this problem months ago!

Really, I never had these voice message in my country. We only get frustrated by the calls from mobile network companies, which are selling its product, like caller tune or ringtones. They will start talking like they are human but sooner or later we understand and laugh at ourselves. The other thing is that they will message you all the times. I get 2-3 message from them(Text messages)
