How many of you recycle and if not, why?

I am an avid recycler and have been for many years. I cannot handle it when others throw things away that could be recycled. I started everyone at work doing it and try very hard to get friends to, but they are just too lazy. Yes, it takes a bit of effort and space to do this, but if you could actually see how much you are keeping out of the landfill each week when you go to the recycle to drop off, you would be shocked. Do you recycle and if you do not, why?

I don't know if I want to recycle ro not, but where I live I have to or they fine you. They also fine you if you don't do it properly. It's becoming like that more and more all over. So, I doubt people can really choose not to anymore.

Wow. There is nothing like force to make people not want to recycle. In our town it is not mandatory but we do not have a pick up either. We have a centrally located place. I used to work for it while I was going to college, and we never got angry if people did not do it right, only if the stuff was gross. You would be surprised at the things people choose to recycle. :-0
