i'm an idealistic fresh graduate..i'm a newly licenced accountant and an excited practioner at that..my first job was with top auditing firm in our country..i worked for four and a half days last year..well, i started on the 18th and there were many holidays during the rest of the year..so i'll resume working this monday..i am an associate auditor..the lowest position ofcourse, but as a fresh grad, do i have a choice? i am hearing a lot of stories from friends who formerly work at the same firm..they say that the nature of my work requires long hours of thinking and analyzing..they say that during peak seasons (february to april), they barely get complete hours of sleep..they also say that you're not going to have any life outside work..i mean house-work-house-work and no social life at all..and gosh, the pay isn't that compensating..but why did i choose this job?..i'm just idealistic..and what would make me stay?..my excitement..
so watch out for more discussions with regards to my work in the few months to come..i'll love to update you myLotters..

hello there! I am from the Philippines. I also worked in one of the big four auditing firms here. But it was not my first job. You are right, you will be very busy for the coming months so you better get ready. Anyway, my first job was as an accounting assistant in one of the multinational companies here. It was quite boring and not so challenging because I am just literally assisting the senior manager on budget. I just worked there for three months and transferred to an international bank.

to answer your question, my first job was like a punishment and a test. i was sick for almost a month.on and off. grrr. i could not imagine bearing it all.. but i just did.. wehehe.. i guess i am idealistic too. but that was my idea.. hehe
