What is your favorite musical instrument to play? I play bass clarinet, flute, clarinet, and some percussion stuff. I really enjoy plaing the bass clarinet, but the music written for this instrument isn't always too exciting. The flute is my second favorite to play. I taught myself to play the flute my junior year of high school, and I play it in my church orchestra now. Which musical instrument do you most enjoy playing? What do you wish you could play?

Hi there. My favorite instrument is the keyboards. I like to play piano, but I like the keyboards better because of its ability to imitate different musical instruments. This comes in handy when writing arrangements for music.

I don't play any instruments, but I love the sound of the oboe and French horn. I think the oboe has a beautifully haunting sound and the French horn has such a relaxing melodious sound.

Oh I love playing the guitar! I started a few years ago, but because of some... problems I kept stopping and re-taking the lessons and never got the hang of it this way. Recently, a few months ago, I started learning seriously. I hope to master it in the next few months :)
I used to play piano, too. That's easier and you never forget it :) But those lessons I never continued. I started when I was in the 4th grade, if I remember well... and stopped in the 7th. There were distance problems here, too. I just gave it up. So I guess that'd be the instrument I'd like to learn. To get back on it, I mean.
The guitar still remains my main passion, but it's good to know how to play various instruments.
I guess the violin would be great, it sounds wonderful, but I'm not planning on starting :) that's very hard! It would take me forever.

I envy you, I love music but can't play any instrument or even sing.
I've always loved the sound of the pan pipes and the flute (my daughters favourite instrument) so would have loved to be able to play either! I just can't seem to learn how and reading music is beyond me!
Never mind though we can't all have the same talents, I'm a pretty good artist and at least I can listen to the music of others whilst drawing!
Enjoy your playing!

DOUBLE BASS!!!!
I have been wanting to learn it since i was 16!
But my mum refuse to send me for classes because she fears that i'm a half-past 6 (in some way i am). And she says that the instrument is expensive. And might suffer the same fact as my grand piano (white elephant).

I love to play guitar and only that instruments that I'm better at rather than the others. In my 15, I start lo learn guitar on the acoustics. I start with playing my favorite songs and learn chords, strumming and plucking. I first play on electric guitar when I'm turning 20 because in this time only I can afford to by electric guitar. Here I start to play serious and learn proper techniques, scales and theories to become a shredder wannabe. lol.

My favorite instrument is the flute. I started playing it when I was 12 years old. I was quite good at it and had a beautiful tone. Four years ago I got congestive heart failure and no longer had enough breath to blow. I was so sad. but , I have found that talented people can develop other talents and I now write and illustrate children's books.

I love the drums and the bass guitar, I cannot play them, but I sure do wish that I could. I sing. Yes, I can sing, although, because I have gotten sick over the years, my voice has been ruined. I cannot hit the high notes like I used to.

My favourite instrument is flute. though i can't play it but i like the music that comes out from it. its so natural and pure. and its making is also so simple. simplicity always sounds good .isn't it. i also like the sound of violin which also produces some good sound for our ears.Music instruments are made for our ears and they should bring peace and pleasure to our mind with the terrific sounds that they have in them.

I pretty much enjoy any bass instrument. I never learned to play anything. I tried learning the guitar at an older age but I didn't have the patients to keep with it. I regret never learning an instrument.

I can play a little bit of the piano, guitar and lyre. I love music that is why I can play a little bit with music instruments. I taught myself with these instruments too. My favorite is the piano. I don't have one but I used to play one in church after meetings. I want to buy a piano one of these days. I want to save money for that. I really look forward to practicing it more to enhance my ability with the said instrument. I wish I could play a violin. If I can play the guitar I think I can play the violin too. ;-)

I started with the Oboe. It wasn't what I wanted to play but what my parents wanted for me. Still I'm glad they chose it. By the time I learned to play the oboe it was really easy to pick up my sisters clarinet, flue and sax and just play.
What I wish I could play is the harmonica. I love the blues and jazz on a harmonica. I can blow in them, but I haven't gotten a tune out of one yet!

When I was a little kid, I'd go to my next door neighbor's house and tinker with her piano. She was in her 80's and liked to hear my piano playing even though I didn't play so good. Over the years I tought myself to play pretty good and now I play the piano at an old people's home every Sunday! I still don't think I play very good but I heard through a friend that the old people like my playing!

I wouldn't say that I'm an expert when it comes to musical instruments! I do have a favourite instrument though and that is the good old recorder! I've had the same recorder since my teenage years and I dig it out from time to time and I play the same old Irish jig! It sounds as though you are quite talented though in relation to musical instruments. If I was to learn to play something else then it would have to be the saxophone! I just love the sound of that instrument. I did try the flute once upon a time but I found that quite difficult. I could never get the grip of holding the thing sideways! Welcome to my lot by the way. Andrew

Wow, You play so many musical instruments! Are You good at playing the ALL? At which one You succeed the most?
I don`t know how to play musical instruments. Once I started up a guitar course, but gaved up as I did not receive a support from my family. They laughed because of my interest, so I had to give it up. Knitting is also my hobby, but they dont laugh at this one: but others do, damn!
I adore the sounds of piano. Have You hear Richard Claiderman? And others like this: are so inspiring. I also adore the sounds of flamenco music and guitar notes that they manages to get out! Wonderfull!

Being scottish i think the best instrument has to be the bag pipes, no matter where in the world you are and you hear them it makes the hairs on back head stand on end.
also knowing they are not the easiest instrument to learn to play it takes a great deal skill and training to play them fully.
they make grown men stand and notice
i enjoy my bag pipes and the uniform of a fully dressed piper is also very smart
