I am a little embarrassed about posting this discussion. However, I have at last, and after much persuasion, written a short story. I have uploaded it to Triond. The link is: www.authspot.com/Short-Stories/Ailsa.431243 One or two myLotters have read it already. Thank you for your encouragement.

You don't put much stock in the written word to you P1ke? LOL What I mean is, you have been told many times how good you are as a writer, yet you feel 'embarrassed' about touting your skills! For shame Mr. Fish! You have nothing to be embarrassed about! I will visit the link and if I can, leave you a comment. I might even join. I'm aware of the site but haven't had the time to check it out thoroughly. See you there. Now stop blushing and start bowing......................ROFL Hugs.

LOL bo...................he has an ARMY of people telling him that, and yet still, the 'insecurity'!*sigh* But then, writers are the most insecure people in the world................but if we keep after our dear fish, he'll bloom and grow and we'll be able to say "We knew him when!"

I'm a happy heterosexual and all that, but I do enjoy the company of women. Maybe some of their perspective has rubbed off on me. That said, The Boss may not entirely agree! LOL.

Hi P1ikef1sh, For some reason I couldn't post my comment but I agree with Wendy in that you could really feel what Ailsa was feeling and got lost in the story. Very suprised a the ending. Keep up the good work. Enjoyed it immensely. Huggles. Ellie :D

damn p1key what a wonderful story and keeping the suspense is so good. I enjoyed reading it. Can you imagine winning £30 million and not telling anyone lol. That husband of her must have a fit when he reach home. I hope there will be a follow up of him and her unruly children. That son was really disgusting. Great story while reading it was as if I was watching it as a movie. Please do have a follow up.

Oh that was a good story p1ke. I loved the ending. Best thing she could have done. You have a good grasp of that kind of life. I have know women who ran away from it. Only in their case it also included violence. I am glad your story did not have that in it. I get so upset these days seeing and hearing about the violence in the world and too many story tellers dwell on the violence when there is not need. It is nice when there are stories where they do not spend pages on such subjects. Keep writing. I think you have talent.

You are welcome. I will be interested in seeing more stories in the future. I do not like violence either and while I know that some stories have to have it I just wish that the authors could mention it without going into graphic detail. The same is true of tv and video games these days. The violence is getting far too graphic and nasty and it is not necessary at all.
@p1kef1sh (45681)
3 Jan 09
Thank you Sharra. I'm not much into violence and certainly not against women. I might try again at some point this year. LOL.

Hooray for Ailsa!!! I don't think that I could have stayed as long as she did, even long enough to raise the boys to be as old as they were, I think that I would have found a way out before then.. I do hope she has the good sense not to give one penny to any of the ones who took her for granted or who mistreated her.. I do love a good story and a "fairy tale ending".. Great job I would love an autographed copy when the entire book comes out.. I do know there is more where that came from and I am looking forward to reading about how she made it through each day while living with these pigs..

LOL. Thank you Donna. I guess she left the remote for old times sake. She was a drudge as I suspect many women are, but don't realise it. As for more stories. One a year seems about right don't you think?

P1 these include helium.com and associated content.com. These could be sources of passive income, you post and then it could earn daily for you from page views, for life. Although it would not be much at first, as your articles increase your cents also increase, Wouldn't that be wonderful?
