Refrigerated-Sand Beaches?

I just read and article online about a 5-star hotel located in Dubai that is building a beach with refrigerated sand. They will be piping cold air through a series of tubes underneath the sand, which will suck away enough heat from the surface to be able to lay down.
Does this just sound too crazy to anybody else?

You don't expect rich people to walk on hot sand like the rest of us do you? LOL
Maybe they consider it their fight against global warming?
But I thought hot sand was part of the beach experience. Hopefully the jellyfish will migrate to the sand cooled beach so the rich folk don't miss out on the total beach experience.

Of course, if that were to happen, I'm sure the hotel and/or the rich people would just hire more people to take care of the jellyfish and eventually they would end up with some other way of spending more money on rediculous things. Maybe they could have a big screen in the water to keep away all jellyfish, crabs, etc.

This shows where the money is in the world, and when it isn't there, where its all going to be before long with anyone with any money going there due to the fact that all the amazing stuff is there.
Its a luxury only the richest can afford, this cooled down sand lark, but I am sure it will catch on with other big hotels etc.

I wish I were that rich. This hotel also has chilled swimming pools too. What will they think of next?
