Make $$money$$ with "Pay per Click"

I recently found out about pay per click, and when i looked at it, i thought it was a bit of a waste of time, as the it is only like 2c per click. But then when i saw you also make money of your referals, i thought maybe it could actually make some money. I use Adverbux, and was wandering if anyone else, who uses it, is actual making money. If so, how did you get people to join. I figured that a day you get about 20c from clicking and about 10c from each referal. So say if you had 100 referals, you would be making $1.20 a day... however the only problem is i dont know how to get referals..can anyone help me? yeh and if you dont know what im talking about, and want to try it.
