I wish they will also film the Silmarillion. This is the Genesis of Tolkien's Legendarium. It tells about the story of how the Valars and Maiars came to be long before middle earth is conceived. The story is something to do on creation which Tolkiens is trying to describe metaphorically and also the beginning of evil. I do not how how they will make it but nevertheless it is something that tolkiens fans must be waiting.

Nope. Lord of the ring movie for me is just up to three series and no more than that. They already have given us the conclusion and to me it was it. To no offense to those who are looking forward for more. I really like the movie and I promise I really do. I cant watch it over and over again though. but not expecting more than that. But, If there is another one I would probably still see the movie.... maybe out of curiousity of what they have come up again.

hmmm.. i dont think there would be another part to this series. Return of the King was the last one. maybe you are referring to the prequel which is "the Hobbit", its the story of how Bilbo Baggins got the ring.. I am waiting for that one.. THE HOBBIT. cheers!

The last part of the trilogy was issued in 2003, so it must surely be available to you! Because, in the Return of the King, the ring (and therefore Sauron's power) was destroyed, there can be no further episodes - at least, none which Tolkein ever envisaged. The filming of The Hobbit (which precedes the Lord of the Rings chronologically) has had some difficulties but it is now under development and scheduled for release in December 2011 and 2012. This, apparently, will be in two parts and will link the story of the Hobbit with the Lord of the Rings chronologically (The Hobbit describes the adventures of the young Bilbo Baggins while the Lord of the Rings starts with Bilbo's 111th birthday party and his retirement). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Hobbit_films
