Walmart Wish List question..

I made a walmart wish list on their site for the first time and someone purchased some of the items for me. I am wondering how long it takes for you to get the items after purchase? and shouldn't I receive some kind of email?? I haven't received anything letting me know from them that items were purchased for me. the reason I know is because instead of the amount I have of the items saying 0 it says 1 and also the person let me know they purchased the items. does anyone know how this works? do they just send the items without saying anything to you or could something be wrong?
