Keyboards are very cheap now and the cost of IT labour is expensive so repairs to PCs is not a viable thing any more. The law now is - if it breaks, throw it away and buy a new one.
In your case I would take your keyboard to bits and clean it out. Maybe you have a bit of biscuit caught under the key? It is a good education to see how a keyboard is made. Take care as each key may have a little spring under it on some old models.
If it is on a laptop then you might be lucky if it is a make that the keypad can be replaced. If not, then buy a USB keyboard and use that. Otherwise, throw the laptop away and buy a new one.

i have had this problem before. i found tht most repair places were not interesting in repairs, most large electrical stores also sell keyboards tht cheaply that it will cost less to buy a new and you shoudl find they throw in a mouse with your purchase. if your in uk asda is good or usa i would suggest a trip to your local walmart
