grateful to someone for just letting you sleep? My hubby is the best! Waking up to pump, or br*eastfeed every 2-3 hours is rough on a person. And my hubby has been a trouper! Ready at a moments notice to change, feed, rock baby. Whatever is needed. This morning he took care of both the kids and let me sleep. I got a 2 hour nap. Talk about feeling refreshed!

A nap is definitely one of those rare but luxurious things ya won't see often! Congrats on your new family member! hang in there! and know that you are blessed to have someone who helps you just before ya reach the breaking point! :)

I love when my boyfriend just lets me sleep. I feel bad though, but I get grumpy when I'm tired especially when I just wake up, haha. I hate when he falls asleep early and I'm wide awake because I get bored and don't know what to do! I usually just sit on myLot though when that happens.

Yes, I have especially if I have stayed up all night writing. I'm not a mom but I do get tired sometimes especially when I'm getting sick. At those times, I'm really grateful when people let me get out of plans and just sleep. I can totally relate in a way.

I love it when I get a chance to sleep in or take a nice long nap. Once in awhile if I am not feeling well or I am really tired my son offers to keep an eye on his sister so I can take a nap.

Parenting is a cooperative effort, I think, and it is nice to feel like your partner has your best interests in mind. It isn't, really, a very big effort to watch one's own kids for a couple of hours, but I'm pretty sure it makes a bit difference to the poor over-tired momma.

I've heard lots of stories of how dads never had much to do with the baby during those first few months. They wouldn't help much, especially with midnight feedings. But my husband was nothing like that. He wouldn't always get up on his own, but he always told me that if he didn't get up, I should wake him up to get the baby. Plus we take turns letting each other sleep. He gets Sundays off, and he lets me sleep in as long as I want on that day. Then he gets a weekday off and I let him sleep. When the twins were babies he was working 2 jobs, 7 days a week. It was really rough on me since I had no one to help during the day. We ended up keeping the twins in their bassinets in the living room at night, and he'd sleep on the sofa while I went upstairs to bed. I'd leave the monitor on and when they'd cry I'd listen to make sure he was getting up, then I'd fall back asleep.

Awww, that is really sweet! You obviously have a really considerate husband, which is lovely to hear. My partner has let me nod off a few times when I have been ill, and I have found that during that time he has made me tasty little snacks for when I wake up! It's always a pleasure when anyone does something as nice as that isn't it?

I know my wife had asked me to take our 3 year old son out for a couple of hours so she could have a break. Now that she isn't working he doesn't go to daycare, so she keeps him at home with her. He is quite a handful. when we got back she was so thankful! She kept going on about how peaceful the house was and how much she just needed that time not running around after our little boy.

What a great guy! As for me, I don't need someone to let me sleep. I'll sleep whenever I want to and I will not let anyone stop me.
