job market

Hello,
Anyone or anyones partner is having a difficult time getting a job in this market? My husband lost his job and it was right before Christmas so we feel 2 weeks has been wasted as everyone in HR is on vacation.

I have been put in applications on top of applications and I'm worn out. I have been putting application for job inside and outside of the house now for well over 4 months and I have not gotten a single reply to anything. I can't say that I'm ready to give up but boy I'm close. I'm very grateful we have our bank account set up so that if we don't have enough money in the checking they will cover the check for a small fee.....
