Well back in my college days it was ladies night with quarter pitchers. That was excuse enough for me.
I've heard other parents comments on their children's excuses:
Well, I could have done it but she broke up with her boyfriend and I just HAD to be there for her. I'm her friend you know.
I was really going to do it, but then Dad wanted all this stuff done so if I didn't get my homework done go talk to him.
Well yeah I'm going to finish it, but it's not going to take all night(then 15 minutes to 11) wow, well guess I'll finish it tomorrow on the bus.
Kids can be so creative.

Hi..
For me, I think that mostly when kids never do their homework, they will always say that they had forgotten because this is one of the commonly used excuses among them and parents or teachers also cannot blame or punish them for being lazy and not doing their homework because all humans will make errors and being forgetful is not as serious as being lazy.
However, some kids nowadays will also use excuses such as they were not given enough time or they does not know how to do the homework. For not given enough time, the kids should be taught on how to manage their time properly and for not knowing how to do their homework, the kids should be taught on paying more attention to lessons and classes because homework is usually based on what is being taught on lessons and classes. Just my point of view...
