I eat Italian food every day. I am 5'2" and weigh 130 lbs. Italian food doesn't have tobe fattening. It all depends on the ingredients used.

My heritage is Italian so I grew up with Italian food and I love it. Most of it is loaded with carbs so you really should measure it. In our family, pasta was a side dish served with meat or fish and not really used as a main dish so it was always eaten in smaller quantities. However, if you look at Italian cuisine along the mediterranean, it is some of the healthiest cuisine that you can eat. Lots of fish and vegetables and reasonable quantities of olive oil. In our family, we use olive oil and a little balsamic vinegar as a dipping sauce for bread. We also sprinkle a tiny bit of olive oil on steamed veggies. We never use butters or margarines.

Hi, pasta is filling,Loaded with carbohydrates. It is a good food if a peraon is going to be doing strenous sports or working for long hours. It is a food that should be measured out and eaten in moderation so not too much is consumed if a person is woried about weight gain.
