Do you really believe that statues of saints are dwelled by the evil spirits?

Some people think here in the Philippines that these statues are dwelled by the evil spirits, for silly reasons.Being scared is just a product of our playful imagination on how we percieve things. Personally, I think those statues were created to remind us of those saints who gave there life for the sake of faith.
