Let's pretend you are with someone you care about, for example: family member, boyfriend/girlfriend, BFF (best friend forever), friend, associate, and you/they keep suggestion things to do, or keep on asking you about something. Everything comes out negative "no, no, no"...you/they nearly sound like a robot...with the same answer....then you say something like: "What do I have to do to make you do X?!" So what do you/they usually have to do for you/them? What do I have to do to make you happy? Feel free to give suggestions, and tell me what makes you very happy Pablo

I know this problem. Every time I want to do something, it is not what the other wants to do. How to make them happy? Do what they want to do. How to make me happy? I go and do my own thing on my own. I have spend a life time, trying to make others happy. Now it is my turn to make me happy. Let's face it, if you don't make you happy, who will!!!??? And when I am happy others are automatically happy too. Take care.

Yes, I go by myself if people don't want to come. Why be held back if someone doesn't want to go? Thanks for letting me know how you make yourself happy. Pablo

Hi Try to enjoy the moment that you are with your loved ones. Even though you are not interested on doing something they want to do, try it out, you might enjoy it. Just have the sense of adventure. Being with the one you love on a leisure time doesnt happen always. take care

yes, pablo. you got that right. i will make you understand this, put yourself in their shoes, what if you want to do something but they don't agree, now, how would you feel? somehow, you still want to do it but you will not confide it anymore to your friends who disagreed with you. you like a friend, who would support you whether he or she agrees or disagrees with what you want to do, yo just need someone who listens, provides advise and suggestions and not a friend who "tells" what to do. let your friends be and they will remain to be a very loyal friend and that would make them happy.

I think compromise is what a relationship like that needs. I'll do this if you'll do that. This way everyone gets to do what they want and evryone has to suffer through something they don't want to do. At least that way there is no broken records and one of the two may actually enjoy whatever it is they want you to do.If not..you can always bare your teeth in a smile knowing that it's their turn next.lol
