how many children?

i m a pakistani
i have many friends in china.
as a pakistani i like that i have 4 or 5 children or minimum 3 children.
but when i talk at this topic with my chinese friends, they become angry and say me very proudly that they have one child. and they dont like to have more than one child.
is there any problem to have more than one child???

God said, go forth and multiply. I don't see any problem in having more than one children but just see to it that we can afford to give them their needs including decent education, and if possible some of their wants :)
It's probably in their culture or indoctrination my friend.
