i used to sit in the front bench.i used to day dream a lot,the teachers never used to catch me,they used to be busy paying attention to back benchers and on rare occassions, when i wanted to learn ,the front bench was not a bad choice.

I am not exaggerating, but in the class I would always sit in the front row, so that I could pay attention to what the teacher is saying and she/he could pay attention towards me, if I have anything to ask for. Even now, if I happen to go to any official training or workship etc., I make it a point to sit in the very first row for the reasons stated above.

As my name starts with B I was made to sit in the front rows as the students sit alphabetically. And I like those front rows too as the front rows students are supposed to be studious I had to prove myself. And I managed to do that to some extent too.

The best bench? I think the left of the middle one which is again right to the left of the last but one bench! We used to have a rotation system which would allow all to sit on the front benches and on the last as well. I liked the front or the second seat though.

I had to sit in the front or almost front desks to be able to see the black board. Now they do not have black boards. But I still have to be up front.

It's better to sit as close to the front as possible. There is less distraction and you can hear and see better. Remember you are there to learn and it don't hurt to be friends with the instructor.

I used to sit in front when the subject and teacher interests me but when I don't like the teacher and the subject I sit at the back. But that is very rare because I always sit in front especially in college days.I'm near sighted I can't see what is in the board and the professor as well.

there were the plus points of choosing front bench

It depended on the lesson and on the teacher. If I wanted to day dream or play table soccer on a pitch desinged on he school desk with one of my colleagues I would choose the back bench. If I wanted to learn I would choose the front bench. It depnds if I got on well with the teacher or not.

According to many of the Teachers I had throughout my High School years, the best place for me to sit was outside! When I did get to sit inside though, I would go for middle of the room seats. Lss attention overall that way because the noisy ones were up back, the studious ones were up front; and us middle seaters just belended into it all with barely a glance from the Teacher!

one of the teachers had some sort of enemity with my mother(who is also a teacher).she would take it out all on me.she would sent me outside the class for ridicuolous reasons like shaking my legs when in class .not that,i minded but i would be embrassed, when my crush would pass by me.

Hi, I think, according to my school, the best place is the backbench. All we friends sit at the back bench during a free period, not only to daydream, but also to party using our tiffins, talk, play and a lot of other activities and believe me, Nobody ever caught us... Regards, AJ-Rox

When I was still studying. I always wanted to sit in front. I wanted to hear clearly and see clearly what the professor is teaching. But fortunately, the sitting arrangement is always in alphabetical order so I always sit in the middle bench. LOL. HUGZ always

I would have to say that the second row will be he best place to seat in a class. I don't like to sit on the front row, even if it will be the best place to see and hear the discussion. MOst of the time, those at the front rows are the ones being called first for recitation. :P ... It think that the second row will still be a good place to see and hear the prof, and it's safe, because in my experience, those who are at the front and back has got the critical chance of being called. I don't really fear being called for the recitation, i just don't like being called first.

I sit in the centre of the class and i think this is the best place for anyone to get noticed by the whole class. sitting in 1st bench may make us a pet student of all teachers but we may lose friends as we become studious. we lose the friendship of many guys. sitting in last bench may make us enjoy each and every minute but we lose studies and we may lose our career . thus sitting in middle bench that too in the centre to gain attention in studies and get the friendship of others may lift our career . follow me and succeed .

I have this thing for sitting in the first row, preferably close to where the teacher's desk is. I have better grades when I'm in front of the class. Not only that, but it also requires you to stay awake in class, since the prof's always standing in front of you and everything. I used to sit at the back and I had mediocre grades--too many distractions. But now that I'm up front, my grades are looking better than they ever did before. =D

there are almost no distractions, when sitting in front but i used to daydream, that may be the reason why i flunked in the last term.

I don't know what's the best place to sit... I always sat in the first bench :) Not necessarily because I wanted to, but I always ended up there... It was good when I had to pay attention, but I was daydearming most of the time, too... :D It was bad, too though because I was one of the first students the teachers noticed... And I could rarely cheat at tests. Luckily I never did anyway... :)

I usually sit in the middle portion. I just don't know why but I feel comfortable in such area. I think being in the middle is just right. Not to expose and not to far so as to hear the teachers discussion.

at front, this is the best where you can listen and see the board easily and the important thing is that if you will sit on back ,the students sitting in front of you will interrupt your concentration

When i was still in school i really love to seat in the 2nd front row or near the window. Because i can watch some of my friends who passed by or i can see my crush lols...and i love to seat on the front especially if theres a dictation so that i can jot down correctly.

For me last row is the best place to sit in the class room ,bcoz we enjoy a lot by sitting here .But many of my teachers always force me to come and sit in the front row ,but again i will go to the last ro after that particular period gets over .

i do know of some students, who are forced to sit in the front but by some spring action, they are back to their orginal place, once that lecture is over.
