I'm sure he can stand on his own, try not to worry. Just encourage and support him. If you appear too scared for him or worried, it may show a lack of confidence to him which will have him lack the confidence he needs to get through the interview. You sould be happy - your son is getting out into the real world and spreading his wings. Just remember, even if he doesn't get the job, it will be a good learning experience for him. First interviews are very awkward and scary, but as long as he is himself and answers questions truthfully, it will be a positive experience. I learned a lot while interviewing for jobs even if I didn't get the position, and I became better and better at them. He will too, you'll see.
