What are your favorite action movies, and why? Mine tend to run towards sci-fi/fantasy, although I'll be the first to admit there aren't very many good ones. I'd like some references, because I'm tired of renting ones that are a total waste of time. Example:Cloverfield or Cyborg. If you've seen these, you know!
My favorites are Independance Day, Pirates of the Caribbean:Curse of the Black Pearl, The Lost Room, The Mummy. I like humor in my action movies. Anyone else?

I'm assuming this is an action movie but I really enjoyed the The Dark Knight. Not really a huge fan of the batman series but this movie caught me by surprise. I had to check out when all the critics were raving about it. It was probably one the best movies I have seen and I highly recommend anyone who hasn't watch it to see it!
Perfect amount of action, suspense, and some really good plot twists!

Wasn't it though? I like the Batman character, and I'm a huge fan of Christian Bale and Heath Ledger. It was fantastic. But I hated it for one reason. So grim! I like my happy endings! Besides that silly reason for disliking a movie, it was far and away one of the best ever.

Definitely a little cliff hanger ending, anyways I think it will interesting to see how well they can make a sequel considering the whole thing about Ledger.

I love sci-fi films that is my favourite genre. I love all six of the Star Wars films and I have lost count the amount of times I have seen each episode over and over again. Over Christmas I had a Star Wars marathon, just me in my room with a nice big screen to watch them on, a drink and nibbles I was in seventh heaven for sure. I also love all the James Bond movies, especially with Roger Moore in them, I know the plot, I know what happens but I don't care I never get bored with them.

I can totally relate. Popcorn and a drink, a great movie in the player, a dog to cuddle up to. Isn't that fabulous?
I'm not a big fan of Will Smith. (too much Prince of BelAir) But I sure own a LOT of his movies. I probably own more of his movies than anyone else. I have a lot of actors I prefer, but I just don't get into their movies. I think that's a bit weird, don't you?
Sci-fi is the best.

I'm not really a Stallone fan, but the Rambos were exciting! The Terminators were way better than they had any right to be. I just loved that little love story within the first one. Just enough to give it heart.
What horror movies? I'm not big on gore, but I did love the first two Resident Evils. Vampires I seem to own a lot of. Werewolves, no. I have dogs that keep fighting each other. Snarling, fur bearing things give me nightmares! I wonder why.

I like action movies directed by Hongkong director John Woo, I think he is excellent in making action films compared to other directors, his projects include: Hard Target (Jean claude-vandamme), Face Off (John Travolta, NIcolas Cage), Mission Impossible II (Tom Cruise), among others.
James Bond movies are also great.

Hello snowcat! I am very choosy in terms of action movies. What I only want is all jackie chan movies. I just love his movies because it's really funny. I never got bored watching it because every scene is action packed whether with comedy or actions.

My husband likes his too. I love The Tuxedo, but I prefer other actors more. I'm a huge fan of Chow Yun-Fat.
