Warning. This is a rant. If Subway is your favorite restaurant, please stop reading this post.Subway is at it again. they are trying to make it seem that Only overweigh people go to all the other fast food restaurants. Or worse that All the other fast food restaurants will make you fat but not Subway. This time they are using the 1812 overture as background music as we see people falling off chairs and having their pants pop open all because they are eating at other fast food restaurants. B*llsh*t! You get fat from overeating Everything. And even if Subway Is a better way, making fun of overweigh people will not make me want to eat there. In fact it me want to boycott Subways until the ads are pylled. what is so sad is that there are times when I think I want to try something at Subway, they start another demeaning ad campaign.Have you boycotted a product just because of an ad campaign?

That would be discriminatory against the overweight people. But it can also turn against them, as You may ask Y do overweight people avoid going to this restaurant chain?:)

No, I don't think so. I believe that's the cultural level their management has. If I had a say, I'd suggest kicking half of the management out of the front door.

I agree with you on the fact that it's not where you eat at, it's what you eat and how much you eat of it. I also think that part of it has to do with our genetic make up. I like subway because they offer healthier choices that most other fast food resturants do not, however.... I do not eat any fast food often. I am 5'2" and 115 pounds at the most. I am by no means overweight. My boyfriend is 6'4" and 330 pounds. He is going on weight watchers because his weight broke his ankle. He did weight watchers before and lost 30 pounds. He needs to loose another 100 to be at the high end of his normal weight range. My point here is that we both eat about equal amounts of fast food. We both eat it about as often, I probably eat it more than he does, just because I am usually the one on the run and trying to eat in a hurry. Sure, I have fat in places that I didn't 5 years ago and I would like to tone that, but I naturally have a higher metabolism. I have never had a weight problem. You would be surprised to watch me eat... it's all that I do most days. I have always been pretty active and have never struggled with my weight, but my boyfriend has for the past 5 years. My best friend (who is his cousin) has also struggled with her weight. It runs in his family. She now follows weight watchers diet plan and exercises as much as she can to maintain her weight loss. The point is, some people are just going to struggle with weight issues no matter where they eat and how much they eat, but we can make healthier choices no matter where we are eating at. Put down that double quarter pounder with cheese and large order of fries. Eat a cheese burger and a small order of fries. Same thing... just smaller portions. Order off the kid's menu if possible... that also saves money. Just don't order the largest portion anywhere and the greesiest food that you can get. Your body will thank you for it. It all lies on us and our desicions, not the fast food chains.

I never eat at subway and there are only a few subs that are truly non fattening there.

I would have to agree with this statement 100% there are only a few sandwiches that are good to eat there.
I am really into weight lifting and the only thing that i eat when i do go there is the sweet chicken sandwich which has 52 grams of protein in the large sub. Other then that i never eat there because eating a big chunk of bread isn't that good for you lol.
I rather have a can of white albacore tuna with homemade mayo and relish which has 36.5 grams of protein, 0 carbs, and only 0.5 grams of fat depending on which kind brand of tuna you get some have 0.
If you are dieting subway is not good for you.

MBoley370, reading what is a healthy meal, I rather have a burger. I never have been on a diet and I guess I never will.

first, I cant stand subway and if people are losing weight from eating subway it is because they dont give you any meat!!! I work in a small deli and we load our subs, I ate at subway and could barely find the meat!!!! plus it cost more money.

the amount of food subway provides don't lose to the other fast-food restuarant. I think even if one were to eat subway, one will still be overweight..
