What is your opinion about hunting?

Hunting used to be okay. But right now a lot of animals be came extinct and endangered because of it. People should not hunt for sport. And they must do it only if they need food and there is nowhere else to get it.

I think hunting strictly for sport is wrong but for those who make use of what they track and kill I am fine with that.

I enjoy watching wild critters too, but I also know that at times the wild animal populations get out of control, disease runs rampet, and the animals suffer a lot. Sport hunters in the USA have to have a license, and they are not hunting aminals that are close to extinction. Most hunters kill the animals they hunt cleanly and humanly, that can't be said about the way animals that are slaughtered for retail stores. I like the meat, and while I don't hunt myself, I am glad that other people can and do enjoy the sport.

I personally don't care for those that like to hunt, just for the sport of it. Like you, I could understand if someone was starving and had no other means of getting food, like in the old days, but in this day and age it just isn't necessary.

hunting as a sport is totally not done.i think its against humanity.

If you are going to hunt it, you should eat it. If you don't want to eat it, why hunt it? That makes no sense. If you hunt it and kill it but don't want to eat it, gift it to someone who you know does like to eat it. I like venison. I bet you and your hubby do to (else he wouldn't hunt it, I'm sure). I think it is horribly wasteful for those people who hunt and then leave the carcass. Viscious animals (the hundters, not the deer).
