Does it really matter a day before and after graduation?

Hi MyLottians,
Some may have read my previous discussions on my job hunting experience since December. I have discovered something and would hope that you will voice your comments from the employers' stand.
This is my situation; I completed my course and attain the final results of my modules on the 11th December 2008. I was advised by my school that I will receive my Honours Classification and transcript in March 2009 and Convocation plus Certificate in October 2009. In the mean time, my school issued a letter of attestation on my course completion to aid my job application before I get my certificate.
In the first 2 weeks of my job hunting, I have sent many resumes for job applications. In my resume, I explained my situation as mentioned in the last paragraph in the introduction section. Of all the resumes that I have sent out, I received no response on my application status or a phone call to ask for more details.
The following week, I made a change to my resume by removing the explanation of when I am expecting to receive my transcript and certificate. I replaced it with "I am a BSc (Hons) Psychology graduate of SIM (Open University UK)." The results was obvious. The day after submitting my applications, I do get a few responses through email or by call. I even had resume release request through JobsDB (online job portal). Could it be just a coincidence or did the statement caused my applications to be rejected?
If you are an employer or someone evaluating my job application, do you think that there is a significant difference before and after my graduation? Would you consider my application in this case? Thank you for your comments.

Hello There!
Here in our country, we look for work after graduation because not all companies here would interview us unless we have our diploma and transcript of records saying that we passed every subjects and ready to work… most of the fresh graduates here requires a letter of recommendation from their college so we normally wait until we graduate before passing our resume or applications to employers online or personally.
Thanks for the discussion!
Happy Mylotting and have a great day ahead! Cheers!
