Hi abhi,
I don't think that there is much difference between American and British English.I
find only a small number of words or words usage differs. For example for petrol
Americans say gasoline,college-school,lift-elevator,brinjal-eggplant,ladies finger-okra and so on..
I am not competent enough to talk about those languages.
With my little knowledge,I would only say,British English is the original and so it is the correct English.

I think the briton english is correct because its the mother tongue for them. The US english is a mixed one. and now the briton english is followed across the world and it is followed even in US but there pronouncation is differed because of the mixed people there.

..as far as I know, both english are correct.. only the pronounciation differ.. I think I'm little well versed in English.. However, I'm not perfect.. I still commit some wrong grammar.. Businesses nowadays require American English even those Koreans who wish to study English prefer the American version.. The British language is used usually in the United Kingdom..
