I think all fish are beautiful and elegant, whether or not they are particularly appealing to the eye on a physical level. I have only had one fish before, since I refused to replace one after mine had died. My fish was a male beta that was burgundy and a dark blue. He was so beautiful =] Burgundy is my favorite color or maroon, and the blue I must say did increase his beauty. But, I still would've thought him beautiful even if he were just plain black (my other favorite color). What are your preferences?

I have 13 aquariums running and I can tell you that i prefer my fish to be healthy. Yes I like colorful fish but sometimes the less flashy ones can be more entertaining to watch. Some of my fish have several shades of grey, brown and black. Most people would not look twice at them but if you do watch them and their interactions with one another you should enjoy them also.

I've never had an aquarium but when I would visit doctor's offices as a child I would love to see the fish interact with each other. One fish is beautiful, but several are divine.

I like fishes as pet. As a kid I used to have a aquarium. But I don't have one presently. I can still remember three of the golden colored fish which was my favorite among all the fishes.Apart from those three,my favourite was also a white colored fish with black stripes. It look like a Zebra, but right now I don't remember its name.

I don't go for colors when choosing a fish. I am more particular on the type of fish and the character of it. When we bought our fish, we chose it because we find that fish naughty, lively and happy. It wiggles a lot, it plays around with other fishes and it makes you feel happy when you stare at them doing their own tricks. Before we have tiger barbs, and this kind of fish likes to swim along with their own kind, do silly stuffs inside the tank and you as an owner would smile. We took a picture of him, sadly he didn't last long but now , we consider the life span of a fish too when it comes of keeping them. We have plecos, blue gourami, mollies and sharkies ( part of cat family fish) not the real one ok.
