hi all! i am just recalling how my grandfather died of a rare blood cancer -- multiple myeloma. it is very rare--they said around 1 or 2 in every how many population. grandpa did not last long from the time he was diagnosed, because his cancer was already on stage 4. he did probably feel a lot of pain in his body already but my grandfather was long suffering and did not complain at all. he never even went to the doctor. for whatever pains, he just probably took some pain killer. but one day, he just fell down while walking. and he fell face down. so he was a really bloody mess, as the pavement was concrete and was not very smoothly finished. anyway, we rushed him to the hospital and his blood sugar levels were soooo high already--way overboard at 650. and he wasn't even diabetic. then the doctor suspected something and referred us to an oncologist. we did not know what an oncologist was, and then we were told that an oncologist was a cancer specialist. then we asked if my grandpa had cancer. they said, they have to take tests. it was a very painful test--a bone marrow biopsy. but my grandfather never even said "ouch." he just winced a bit. when asked if it was painful, he said "a little" my grandpa was the bravest person i have seen in terms of pain. anyway, he lasted only about a month after the diagnosis. he died with all of us his family by his side. we just saw death slowly creeping up on him. first his feet, then his arms, then all his limbs were gray, but he was still breathing, refusing to give up. that was a difficult time for us. it was sooo sudden. anyone have a loved on dying of cancer? please share your experience... thanks and God bless you all! :-)
