Its geeting too chilly outside. I am relaxing with a cup of really strong coffee. I think it gives me the boost to work harder. But tell me is coffee really bad for my health if I make it strong. Its hard for me to work in the computer in this wheather, when my fingers are freezing, so I get the energy from hot coffee. I take it with milk. I go and make myself one whenever I feel tired or sleepy or cold.

Studies keep going back and forth on coffee. Some say it's bad, some say it's good. I say - taken in moderation - it is fine. It has its good points and its bad. On the good side: Fresh brewed coffee actually gives off anti-oxidants, so smelling your first cup is good for you. Coffee can be counted as a fluid. (8 Glasses of water per day = 8 glasses of fluids, not necessarily just water) Don't use coffee as a main fluid, because too much can actually counteract your water intake. Overindulgence of coffee can cause headaches (rebound headaches from lack of caffeine causing blood vessels to constrict). Certain studies show coffee can possibly encourage growth in cysts (if someone had them). So, basically just follow some tips when indulging in delicious, hot coffee: Definitely don't use coffee to force yourself to stay awake when you really need rest. Try not to drink more than 16 oz a day, especially since you make it strong. If you need a hot drink throughout the day, try other alternatives like hot cocoa, tea, cider and decaf coffee.
