OK I'm from Cincinnati and the Bengals had an ugly year in football. But I just heard that former coach Bill Cowher said the Bengals were the team to watch out for next year. Will they be better? Probably. Team to watch out for though? I think not. What are your thoughts?

Will they be better? Absolutely. They were riddled with way too many injuries this year and to key players no less. Simply having those players back will make a difference, let alone any additions they make in the off season. Will they be the team to watch? Well no. I think what you may be able to look at here is a case of the Baltimore Ravens and Miami Dolphins. Brutal one season and in the playoffs the next. Neither are expected to make a splash, but they turned things around. That's what I think Bengals fans can look forward to next season, but I wouldn't be counting on a Super Bowl.

You also need another wide receiver to take some of the attention away from ocho cinqo. He has zero room out there when the defense knows he's really the only guy they needed to defend. It was a bad year for him, but he needs some help out there.

True. Bringing Chris Henry back was a mistake though. He cant be the receiver the Bengals need. I have never even seen him dive or jump to catch a contested ball. He looks like he has the skills but is just to lazy to put forth the effort.

SuperBowl definately not. I just don't know if any off-season aquistions will be off-set by losing key players. It is unclear if TJ will be back next year. Also, Carson may still to have surgery. I am not sure why he has been putting this off for so long. Hopefully Rivers can come back to the defense and they can put together a good year.

Wow I know what you mean it was just awful to see them loose that way. At least they didnt throw away the play off chance they had like the Broncos. Any way maybe next year will be better for both of our teams. Good luck and happy my lotting.

Funny you mention the Broncos. Do you remember last year? All the Bengals had to do was win one of their last three games and they were in. Bengals had a win-and-in situation against the Broncos and choked.

I am a huge Bengals fan. Seeing as they might lose TJ and Carson is still a question mark, next year might be another long one. Adding that their defense is not really that good, and Chad is starting to do more talking than scoring, they might just lose Marvin Lewis soon too.
