i dont know if it is very important but it is very relaxing when listening to music while driving. especially if the drive is long or stuck in a traffic jam.. listening to music takes out all the frustration in those situations. when i am alone, i love to listen to music and its like having a companion.
but it is better not to get too involved in it.. better to keep an eye on the road. ;)

I listen to music to keep me awake. It doesn't matter what time of the day it is i tend to nearly fall asleep while driving. Music helps alot. I have had cars without radios and in those cases i just sing out loud to keep myself awake.

Yes for me listening to music while driving is very important. For one thing it dosnt make me as scared and makes me more calm when Im driving and I dont worry about other people hitting me. Not that im not aware which I still am very aware. I can listen to music and concentrate on driving pretty well.

For me, music is important when driving. It helps me to unwind and relax. It also occupies my mind so I have something to think about. However, when in stressful driving situations, like bad weather, I prefer to turn it off. It can be a distraction. But for the most part, I like to have the background noise. It's something to sing along to, escape with and calm down with when someone cuts you off.

I enjoy listening to music when I drive. I find that when I am driving on a narrow road or in someplace that I am not very familliar with listening to music helps me to relax and concentrate. I also listen to music when I am driving long distances to keep me awake. I think it is important for people to be able to focus while they drive, and if music helps them then so be it.

I like to listen to the radio when I drive. Sometimes I will listen to different cd's that I have burned. I suppose since I am able to listen to music in my office I don't necessarily have to listen to music on my way to and from work. I do like to listen to ESPN radio when i can. A few years back I rented a car that had satelite radio., My wife and I loved it. We have talked about purchasing it for our personal vehicles, but we can't agree on the channels we want.

Well i would say listening to music while driving is more like a relaxant...i could never drive without any music i would get more stressed in traffic thats for sure. In town the traffic can drive you crazy and if you going for a long drive you could relax and listen good music instead of going to sleep on the steering wheel.
