Top 5 greatest rock bands

If you have followed them from the beginning they have to be in the top 5.They have been rocking from 74' till now and their live performance hav;nt missed a beat,some bands have been around as long but should have hung it up years ago. All members can still get it done and every album has atleast a couple or more songs that just about any rock fan can sing along with. So in my imo taking in account time,quality,and live performance they are hard to beat.

Well, they are a great band but there are probably lot more bands you like, don't you? Aha, you probably do and so do I, I'll list them out, there my top 5 most favorite band ever.
1. Linkin Park
2. ac/dc
3. Rise Against
4. Green day
5. Nicleback
They aren't in order, so if you think they are, then well your wrong they aren't, aha. Anyways if I could list more I would, but I'm not.

AC/DC are a one of the few who have stood the test of time.
With simpleriffs and a heavy attitude to their music, they have become one of the greatest rocks bands to ever grace the music scene.
However, there are a lot of bands out there who really jam.
It would be hard for me to name my top 5 due to the fact that I'm a musician myself and I love so many different bands.
However, I will give it a try.
Metallica has to be one of my all time favorites. Especially their older
stuff. All of the material that was recorded and released before 1995 like "Kill em All" and Ride the Lightening", Masterof Puppets" and so on were the BEST!!!
"Load" and "Reload" were good but a far cry from what they have done in the past.
This new CD'they have just released ths year is pretty good though.
Megadeth is another band that has left a good mark on the music industry.
A lot of good songs came from them and although they are not what they once were
I still enjoy their older stuff.
System of Down. What can I say? They are the Frank Zappa of Heavy Metal in my opinion. Good riffs, great writing skills and touch on many topics that most try
to avoid.
Disturbed. Again, great riffs and good writing. The flow of their music is very much like water and it seeps into every fiber of one's musical receptor.
A great band!
An ALL - TIME favorite is PANTERA!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh HELL yeah. The very NAME makes me want to leap up out of my chair , grab my guitar and jam until the end of time!!!! Damn shame about DImebag Darrel. With his demise, one of Rock/ Metal's greatest bands were silenced.

I was born in the 90's but that doesnt matter...I must also increase tht list to 10, I find it easier, although the bottom 5, differ...

3. AC/DC
4. Scorpions
5. Motorhead
6. Black Sabbath
7. Dio
8. Deep Purple
9. Queen
10. Kiss

I would definitively rank them in the top 5,not many bands even last as long as they are.
