Do all U.S. health care systems suck?

I moved to France 14 years ago, got married, had kids, and am contemplating moving back to the states, but the U.S. health care system seems to be a real concern even among Americans, who are used to not having universal coverage. I never had health insurance while I lived in the states, but with a family I need it. I've grown very accustomed to the coverage here in France - basically I don't think much about it, it just seems to take care of itself. I know that health care systems vary between states but I still don't know which is the mostly highly recommended.
So my questions to all of you are: Which state has, or will have, the best health care system within the next few years? Do you have any health care system stories, good or bad, that might inform my choice of where to move to get the best health care? I look eagerly forward to reading your comments!

i have several health issues and while i dont live in the us, i know i couldnt afford to live there.
i am in southern ontario, canada and our provincial government pays for basic medical care (of course, our taxes are through the roof and we have a shortage of doctors and the wait times are through the roof) but hey...

From what I understand about Canada, it seems a great system overall with excellent quality people making up the population - I've never met a Canadian I didn't like. We thought about moving there, probably to Vancouver, but it's cold and wintry even there. The weather issue has so far kept us from making serious plans. Thanks for the comment!
