Prevention is easy, you just have to exercise and eat the right kinds of food. But once you have it there is no real cure for it so far. There are herbal medicines that they say is good like the bitter gourd vegetable they say if you drink it as a tea it could control your sugar back to normal levels but it does not guarantee you cure for it though. Western Medicines are so far the best that could control your sugar from going up but then you are right it should be monitored by a doctor every now and then to see if the side effects is not doing any harm to your body.

Hi rsa101,
Thank you so much. And I know the diabetes can not cure in nowadays only just to be prevention. But my father-in-law always trust the advert. for diabetes and always spends a lot of money to buy them, I told him several times but in vain...

you cannot cure diabetees
he needs to see a diabetic consultant, if you live in the uk your hospital will have a diabetic drop in centre not so sure about the rest of the world but in the uk we are lucky and have specialist centre's in most hospitals
also speak to a dietician as each food will have different levels of sugar, if I am going to have a big dinner I have more insulin and vice versa.

prevention is impossible as perfectly healthy people can develope diabetee's I talk from experience as I used to run for an athletic team till I got diabetee's (type 1) in my teens.
You can also get diabetee's thru pregnancy.
As for the cure there aint one, but if you have self control diabetee's wont run ya life especially if its controled by tablets ie a type 2 I have type 1 and have 3/4 injections of insulin a day and I will do this till the day I die so to speak or untill an amazing cure is found which prob wont happen in my life time

Uh... Oh i thought you were asking how to prevent it. Prevention is different from cure.
Control of sugar intake is the most conventional way.
