Personally i think this test match will be a drawn test. Australia will not give South Africa a chance to win this test and they will not give themselves time to bowl out South Africa. They will not declare and give the South Africans time to chase down the target. I think Australia is just trying to avoid the white wash. Thats just my views thanks. HAPPY MYLOTTING.

3rd test,it was look like draw, but ponting take interesting decision I would say bold decision to declare and give SA to chance for going win.
This is very good move by ponting ,last day of test match SA want 310 or so and 9 wicket remaining it will be a very intresting 5th day play.
SA is surely go for win from here and Aus. is also going for win if africa lost match they have nothing to loose but Aus. lost match then they will loose their no 1 ranking in ICC.

I feel the Test is currently quiet delicately poised. Ponting declared the innings even before they had reached the total lead of 400. I think they have something 376 to defend. As far as South Africa is concerned, they can full off a surprise victory as the target of less than 400 is very much achievable, though the fourth innings at the ground is less than even 300. So, its too premature to call it in anyone's favour. As far as the player strength is concerned the Aussies don't have Lee. But that won't make any difference because whatever the reason - the poor chap is totally out of form. But on the other hand, its doubtful for the SA captain will play as I think, he did not field in the Aussie's second innings. The policy for now - wait and watch.

South Africa needs to be winner if they want to claim the top spot in ICC cricket test team ratings. I think it is a difficult target to achieve, but not unachievable. South Africa needs good consistent and sensible batting by their batsmen to get something out of this. South Africa is a strong side but also Australia is also a good bowling side with world-class bowlers capable of winning them matches. So I can't predict. Lets see what happens.

Australia has set a target of 387.I think Ponting has taken a very brave step.
We know God helps the brave.I will be happy if Australia wins this test match.South Africa already lost one wicket. though it is Morkel, but a wicket is a wicket.eventually they have lost 2 wickets.Smith could not bat this time. so the score reads 30 for 2 now.All the best team Australia.
