Why is Facebook more popular than Myspace recently?

What is going on with Facebook lately? I have had both a Myspace and Facebook profile for the past couple of years but all of a sudden my Facebook is getting tons of activity and Myspace seems to be out of style. I have always preferred Myspace to Facebook and lately a ton of my high school classmates have found me on FB. I am never even on Facebook because I don't really like the site. Why does Facebook seem to have taken over the top spot as far as social networking sites go? Have they bulked up their advertising or something and why is Myspace so out of style did something major happen that I just don't know about? I am perplexed can anyone explain this to me?

I think maybe because Facebook has a lot more you can do, like they have an application called YoVille which is a lot like Sims games, it is very addictive, I think there is more interaction there..

i'm agree with other comments, facebook is more like a representative of ourselves in the internet, but myspace is more like a place for promoting something, mostly music. and also facebook provide more application like games or quiz.. anyway, i really like Geo Challenge, highly recommended!!

facebook has fewer technical hitches and most of the apps work better on facebook than they do on myspace. Myspace is still the best site for finding musicians and new music I think, but facebook is better for actually keeping in touch with your friends and playing apps. On Myspace I don't even know most of the people I am friends with they are just random people who added me.
