Do you think wifi makes Animal Crossing more enjoyable?

I just got Animal Crossing a few weeks ago and I really enjoy playing it. I have Wild World for the Nintendo DS and one of the things that I have done is visit other people and have other people visit my town. It's kind of neat having people come over.
However, I don't really know any of those people. We just exchange codes to have someone to visit now and then and to exchange things. I think having someone come over that I know where we can actually do things like fish, catch bugs or other things together would make the game more enjoyable.
So, do you think wifi makes the game more enjoyable? What sort of things have you done with friends over wifi?

I have the game and I love it so much as it is without the wifi. I play it daily just to unwind, it relaxes me. I have tried to do the whole Wifi thing but I don't think that my connection is strong enough to stay connected in order to have someone over. It seems to lose the signal every 5 mins (I am hooked up via a satellite which may be the problem). I am dying to have someone visit so that I can get Nookington's but unfortunately I don't think anyone would have the patience to deal with my connection difficulties nor would I expect them to. I suppose it could be fun depending on who you are with. I am an adult so it would be difficult for me to find another adult who played the game to wifi with. All the sites that you can exchange friend codes on seem to cater to children and teens mostly.

I'm an adult myself and am a member of a community on the website, Live journal that is full of other adults that enjoy playing as well. They exchange friend codes and are able to play over wifi with other adults if they wish. I think it's helpful really because Animal Crossing just isn't for kids!

That's cool! I didn't know there were so many of us. I think I am going to try to get that attachment thingy that improves the connection and see if it helps me stay on wifi for a longer period of time.

I haven't been able to have the pleasure of using the Wifi yet but I am sure I would like it alot if I did. It sounds like a great feature to have and since alot in my family already have the NintendoDS it would be fun to do with them. I don't know about the strangers coming into my home though since you never know what kind of people they are.

I was worried about it too. There is a website online that has a rating feature for people and their friend codes so you can determine whether or not this is a person that you'd like to exchange codes with. If you don't want to exchange codes, then you don't have to especially if they have a really bad rating. It really helps keep towns safe.

I have hardly used wi-fi with Animal Crossing. The only thing I did was have someone come over and buy something from Nook's store, so I could get the store upgraded to Nookington's. I hear there are some people who'll sabotage your town and brick it, so I guess I'm careful.

I think that the wifi is awsome. It adds to the game a lot allowing you to play with friends and see how they have made their world.
